Tom Pike has 20 years experience in all aspects of building, joinery, renovations and refurbishment. Having had hands on experience across all the trades, puts him in an excellent position to run the business and contract manage the sites. He’s the man with the vision for the business and a passion to make it the best it can be.
Childhood hero? Doug the builder who renovated our families house when I was a child. I followed him everywhere!

Graham’s meticulous attention to detail and love for an Excel spread sheet makes him an essential asset to Ark. Working closely with Tom to break each project down he produces thorough schedule-of-works and easy to understand quotes that make sure we’re all singing from the same spreadsheet.

It’s often said that behind every great man there’s a great woman – and Olivia is she! As Tom’s right hand and stationed in our Brighton office, she’ll often be your first port of call at Ark Builders. With over 20 years experience in the building and property development industry Olivia is just who you need to ensure the job runs smoothly.

Tom’s wife Sophie has 15 years of interior design experience, working as a stylist for top selling magazines as well as appearing on TV shows and radio. Along with her husband Tom they have enjoyed their own design and build projects, and share a passion for renovation and design.

Carpenter and Site manager
Robin is a popular member of the team, bringing his huge smile and appetite for life to every job he does. He’s the calm centre of any busy building site and his all round knowledge of the building business and expert carpentry skills, make him a brilliant site manager.

Carpenter and Site manager
Originally from a joinery background, Greg brings an excellent eye for detail and a range of carpentry skills to the site he manages. His warm New Zealand accent is kind on the ears and both clients and his team appreciate his calm approach and joyful nature.

Head of groundwork and bricklaying, Site manager and Multi-trader
A man of many talents, Steve has a wealth of knowledge and easily turns his attention to the trickiest building dilemmas. He manages the foundations of the build so will be onsite for any extension projects. In his spare time Steve is the coach and manager of the Ark FC team. Not to mention his main job as dad to Lloyd and Harry. Always cheerful and jolly Steve is rarely seen without his trademark smile.

Brother to Stuart our Project manager, Darren’s a highly skilled carpenter with an eye for accuracy and a superb finish. He shares the same OCD tendencies as Stuart – perfect for finding solutions to the trickiest carpentry jobs and keeping his site tip-top and tidy.

Darren is a fully NICEIC approved contractor with over 20 years experience as a domestic, commercial and industrial Electrician working within the Sussex area. Polite and professional, he has a meticulous eye for detail, which is perhaps why he’s able to run a successful sideline as a wedding photographer.

Decorator and Skilled labourer
Lovely Wesley is an exceptionally hardworking decorator. His quality finish speaks for itself from sash windows to tricky cutting in Wesley is the man with the steady hand. He’s assistant manager of Ark FC and plays centre half, not surprisingly his childhood hero was Bryan Robson.

Cog Greaser: Deliveries and logistics
Colin keeps the cogs of the Ark machine well oiled delivering tools and materials to our sites. Once all the deliveries are done and our sites are running smoothly you’ll find him helping out with the build. If you happen to be near the kettle, he’d love a cuppa!

Tell us a secret? I started working in the building trade at 15, bricklaying with my uncle.
Like father like son, Lloyd is an all round happy chap with an infectious laugh. Originally employed for his brick laying expertise – he’s now progressing rapidly as a multi trader. Another member of Ark FC, Lloyd is captain of the team and known to score a goal or two.

Harry’s the youngest at Ark and second in line to the Eyre throne (son of Steve). Harry’s positive approach to life and diligent work ethic are an asset on and off the field, he plays alongside his brother Lloyd on the Ark FC team. The other goal he’s working towards is one day training as a carpenter.

Known as conscientious Connor on site thanks to his marvellous work ethic. Connor’s another member of the extended Eyre clan. A keen supporter of Ark FC, he’s on the touchline come rain or shine. The rest of his spare time is spent driving his new car.

A man of few words and many actions Jack’s an industrious and dedicated worker. His eagerness to learn and helpful nature make him popular with his colleagues. One of Ark FCs top scorers, he plays up front Ark FC every weekend.
